SOUVENIRS FROM THE CEDARS OF GOD

June, 2018

I visited the Cedars of God, a forest covered in cedar trees, which is the tree represented on the Lebanese flag. Before, the Lebanese mountains were home to thousands and thousands of cedar trees, but due to global warming, they are in decline, and continue to make their way up the mountains because of the climate. Lebanon has very strict laws regarding the cutting down of cedar trees.
